The Private Client Service Manager, reporting to the Private Client Services Supervisor, acts as primary contact for High Net Worth clients and is responsible for the overall management of their personal insurance program. This role is responsible for staying abreast of changes in clients' lifestyle that impact their risk profile and coverages, conducting annual reviews of clients' insurance program, negotiating with carriers on client's behalf based on detailed market knowledge, and recommending appropriate coverages, limits and risk management solutions to clients. In addition, this individual is responsible for new business generation - accomplished by obtaining referrals from existing clients and centers of influence and expanding relationships with current clients.

Primary Areas of Focus:

  • Independently manages a book containing several High Net Worth clients with increasing complexity.
  • Acts as a strategic relationship manager and client liaison as well as a subject matter expert on private client carries, coverages and processes.
  • May also act as a carrier liaison for private client carriers.
  • Grows revenue by successfully counseling clients on additional lines of insurance or limit increases that should be considered based on the details of each client's unique exposure to risk
  • Provides proactive, high-quality day-to-day client service by anticipating needs, enhancing AJG's value to our clients and prospects
  • Actively sources new clients

Main Accountabilities:

  • Successfully grows and profitably manages an assigned group of client accounts
  • Builds relationships with existing clients by providing exceptional ongoing customer care
  • Reviews accounts' existing insurance program to determine if additional lines of insurance or limit increases should be solicited and then does so during each service contact
  • Actively seeks referrals from current client base to solicit new business prospects; follows up to generate new business
  • Secures existing business and actively drives the sale of additional services and lines of coverage
  • Cultivates relationships with the buyer and/or their representative
  • Leads appropriate resources to address the client's risk management needs
  • Establishes effective relationships with markets, knowing which markets to use for certain risks, etc.
  • May partner with one or more Producers and typically is the first line of contact for the client
  • Coaches Client Service Managers and/or Associates through continuous learning, honest feedback, and strong talent development strategies
  • Resolves issues quickly in a manner that's appropriate for both the client and the Branch
  • Manages to defined service timelines and processes
  • Ensures that complete and accurate client and policy data and documents are maintained within the Gallagher systems
  • Executes on best practices processes, leveraging existing systems and shared services in order to work as effectively and efficiently as possible
  • Conducts periodic audits to ensure compliance to standards and service levels; Consistently adheres to service timelines and professional standards
  • Communicates with carriers

Required:

  • Bachelors degree with 3+ years client service and/or claims management experience -OR- High School degree/GED with 8+ years client service and/or claims management experience.
  • Property & Casualty Insurance License.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Desired:

  • Producer's license
  • Able to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong executive presence
  • Proficient in using technology as a tool to maximize productivity and quality
  • Previous experience managing client relationships
  • Insurance knowledge - Private Client experience preferred
