Summary:

Under the general supervision of the OR Manager/ChargeNurse, the Surgical Technologist is responsible to the Director ofSurgical Services for providing individualized patient care duringthe preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative periods byproviding direct assistance to surgeons, nurses, anesthetist, andanesthesiologist. Duties include scrubbing for surgical proceduresand other tasks. All tasks are performed in compliance withestablished policies and procedures.

Requirements:

A. Education/Skills

High School Graduate preferred vs. GEDrecipient

Current Licensed Practical Nurse(LPN) vs. Documentation of graduation from a Surgical Technologyschool

B.Experience

1 year surgical technologyexperience preferred

C. Licenses,Registrations, or Certifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)preferred
