POSITION SUMMARY:
Acts as the chief administrator for the Rehabilitation Department. Individual is responsible for all departmental activities and reports both on a departmental level as well as hospital wide. Oversees budget process, quality assurance and improvement activities, program development and growth, department and hospital goals, assuring the department is meeting regulatory requirements. Provides and coordinates with Rehab Manager for the clinical operations of the rehabilitation department including staffing, productivity, competency requirements and educational requirements. Participate in Rehabilitation and hospital sponsored committees.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education:
Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited educational facility in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy or audiology. Master's degree in business administration, public health or health administration desired
Experience:
Minimum Required: At least 6 years of experience in field with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory position
Special Skills/Training:
Minimum Required: Ability to direct and supervise personnel; plan and manage departmental administrative activities; relate to physicians, allied health personnel, community and educational leaders and have knowledge of community resources.
Organization, problem solving, good communication and written skills required.
Good working knowledge of computer software including EXCEL and experience with electronic documentation helpful.
