Essential Duties And Responsibilities include the following.
Directs activities of the Financial Controller, Casino Controller, Hotel Controller, Director of IT and the Purchasing Manager in providing and directing procedures and computer applications necessary to provide appropriate guest and cast member services, maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls.
Oversees budgeting, tax, accounting, purchasing, insurance, collections, and automated data processing activities throughout the organization.
Provides financial, accounting, administrative, and personnel and operational support to the General Manager.
Provides financial information and analysis to corporate personnel, in order to monitor overall Bally's Casino Shreveport financial objectives and to meet external reporting requirements.
Serves on the Executive Committee in order to provide information regarding financial operational conditions.
Analyzes operational issues impacting functional groups and the whole institution, and determines their financial impact.
Evaluates, recommends, and establishes business partnering opportunities.
Ensures compliance with Company policies and procedures and Louisiana State Gaming Regulations.
Directs and analyzes studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organizations policies and operations.
Oversee, on an independent basis, the work of the Internal Audit Department, in order to evaluate compliance with gaming laws and to assure control over assets.
Maintains high levels of customer and cast member services and models that exemplary level of service to others.
Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages five subordinate supervisors in Purchasing, IT, and the Finance Departments. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Experience
Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
B.S. Degree in Accounting or its equivalent. CPA certification desirable but not required. Key Louisiana Gaming License.
